August Favourites

August this year has been a little quieter for us in the studio this year, not surprising as the weather has been so glorious and everyone tends to get their summer vacations in. Still lovely to see some regular clients of Pure Networking (below) been chatting with regular clients getting them all booked in for September & October as well as a few events and studio photo shoots including these…

We were commissioned to photograph the Friends of the Elderly Summer Fete at the Retired Nurses Home in Bournemouth. They couldn’t have asked for better weather, bright blue glorious skies made the perfect backdrop for an afternoon full of festivities. Couldn’t say I’d ever thought I’d see Peppa Pig dancing the Charleston….I have now!

Last but by no means least, not forgetting my lovely regular client of Pure Networking who celebrated their 1st Birthday this month! Taking over the VIP area of Bournemouth Club Bar So for an entire Friday night saw some very relaxed networking, cake presentation and lots and lots of drinking!
I saw these guys a lot this month, as I also photographed their usual event coverage for breakfast networking event at the Hilton and their evening post-work drinks at canvas loft bar in Bournemouth Centre.

July Favourites

Bit late in updating my blog this month…well, last month! The business photography took over this month, delighted to break that up with a few family photo shoots but the commercial photography dominated! These are my favourite family shots from this month

Our Business head shots service has been part of the busy commercial month we’ve seen. Below are just 2 of my favourite head shot sessions; We had Gregg come to the studio, he’s a thriller author so we captured some classic, relaxed head shots as well as some dark & pensive images reflecting his novels mood. We also welcomed Jan to the studio for an update on her business head shots, these are just 2 of my favourite images from her session (there were loads!!)

As I said, business photography has kept me busy in July that’s because photography for your business, used on your website, promotional materials and social media is vital in this day and age. We create everything from standard ‘packshot’ white background photography ideal for website use and selling sites, but we can create some creative lifestyle product photography more suitable for brochures.
We visited JP Morgan’s Chaseside location to photograph a new building for Modulek, photographing the exterior and interior, shame we didn’t have beautiful blue skies!

We also welcomed back Tara from the Venus Awards, as if she wasn’t busy enough Tara needed some new pictures for her blog (launching soon!)

Venus Awards Networker of the Year Interview & Golf!

As one of the semi-finalists of the Networker of the Year category for the Venus Women Awards, which is sponsored by Playgolf Bournemouth I & the other semi-finalists were invited to have an interview at Playgolf with the decision makers (oooeeer!)

BUT I did get to enjoy a fantastic fun evening with my fellow semi-finalists Dawn Cook and Lorna Trent learning how to play golf on the range, I definitly need some practice. Followed by a round of foot golf (seriously, check this out!) where we took the golf carts and couldn’t resist racing each other around the course!!

If that wasn’t enough, we were even treated to dinner at the Kitchen Club at Playgolf where we enjoyed wood oven cooked Pizzas and Pimms in the July evening sunshine! Fingers crossed I’m through to the finals this year! I find out at the Venus Awards Finalist Announcement on 2nd September.

I’m through to Venus Awards Semi-Finals!

It’s always so lovely to work with the Venus Women Awards in Dorset, I regularly get out & photograph their events and it’s been fantastic to watch the business (and the business of supporting local business women) grow and grow.

I recently photographed 2 of their semi-finalist announcement events, firstly an afternoon tea and networking event for the shortlisted business women at the gorgeous Derby Manor Hotel in Bournemouth. I’m lucky enough to be shortlisted for the Marketing & PR Category sponsored by Exterion Media. While photographing the event, I even went and won their raffle too! 😱 I won afternoon tea at the Derby Manor, I can’t wait to go back – don’t worry, photos on social media soon! 😉

If that wasn’t enough, the following day I photographed the semi-finalists announcement event held at Mercedes Sandown at Holes Bay in Poole, it was an incredibly busy event with well over 100 guests there. While shooting I had to hand my camera over to have my photo taken as I’m also a semi-finalist in the Networker of the Year category sponsored by PlayGolf Bournemouth.

June Favourites

I think June 2016 has probably been my busiest month to date! I think I’ve probably photographed every ‘type’ of photography I cover – we’ve seen families, kids, pets, business head shots, actors head shots, product photography, event coverage & networking photography and one of my current personal favourites – commercial business photography out on location!

We’ve seen loads of families & cute kids in the studio this month as well as a few head shots. Here are some of my favourites….

At the beginning of the month, I headed down to Studland beach to photograph for franchising business Ministry of Dog.  They’re an awesome local Dog Daycare & Dog Walker based in Wimborne Minster. With the franchise business launching in September, business owner Alison needed some professional photography to showcase what her business is about – not just looking after some cute pooches, but having a healthy lifestyle & avoiding the office based 9-5 with a unique business based mainly outdoors!

June was also jam packed full of commercial & business photography! White background pack-shot photography based in the studio, and one of my favourite networking events Pure at the Hilton, Bournemouth (what a view!)

Family Location Photography

We don’t always stay in the studio! Recently, we’ve had a few very large groups requesting photos to mark special occasions and because they won’t all fit into our studio, we go out on location!

Rebecca was celebrating her 50th Birthday at Captains Club with her family and close friends, travelling from all over the UK to come down to Christchurch to celebrate the special day. We took the group of 14 people from their hotel venue along Christchurch Quay front to their lunch venue at The Kings Arms capturing some portraits on the way.

We also welcomed the Fox Family to Christchurch, a large group of 17 people, having dinner at Harbour Hotel for a family birthday party. We borrowed their grounds to capture the immediate families and some group shots.

If you are interested in having a family shoot out on location, we work on a bespoke basis so give us a call on 01202 432234 and let’s have a chat about what you want!

May Favourites

May seems to be a bit of a mixture month – a few location shoots, few commercial shoots, lovely families & dogs.

We photographed the annual Bournemouth Property Association football tournament at Chapel Gate, Bournemouth Rugby Club. Those poor lads, it was a scorching afternoon! In the end Savills of Southampton took home the trophy.

We saw more business photography for local e-commerce & amazon business Buy it Bug, where we photographed their range of travel accessories, hair accessories and bath bombs!

Can’t forget all those lovely families, kids and dogs!

Lastly, we were asked to photograph the Dorset Blind VIP movie night at Bournemouth ABC creating a small pop up studio filled with balloons for all the glammed up attendees to have their photos!

April Favourites

It’s time for April’s Favourite photos! We saw some cute kids, product photography, professional business people & LOADS of networking, PR and Advertising Photo Shoots this month.

We were invited to the Venus Woman Awards New Mascot Reveal at Sandown Mercedes in Poole! It was a fun filled afternoon with the 2015 Venus Awards Winners, Tara Howard the Venus Awards Founder and her new car in the sunny car dealership!

We weren’t quite finished with the Venus Awards yet…. We still had the Dorset Launch Party at Playgolf Bournemouth where we photographed the 2016 Sponsors, networking group and oh! The car was there again!

If you are interested in what photography we can provide for your business, check out our dedicated page or just give us a call on 01202 432234 and let’s have a chat!

Love it Lend it Commercial Shoot at Canvas, Bournemouth

Love it Lend it has celebrated their first three months for their dress hire agency. They marked the date by staring in a photo shoot at local Award Nominated Loft Bar Canvas to showcase the diverse range of dress styles, sizes and occasion types.

The shoot embodied the ethos of the brand; to have fun and look incredible without breaking the bank….. Why buy when you can hire. Showcasing the stunning gowns & occasion wear modelling them on real (business) women! We chose to have our photo shoot at Canvas because it’s quirky, stylish, one of a kind.

March Favourites

March has been business photography month! We’ve been photographing everything from products for advertisement, networking events & updates head shots. We photographed the new range of designer glasses for Kelly Eyecare in Brockenhurst. We also attended a very bright & sunny networking event for the Bournemouth Property Association, photographed their networking lunch and got some new head shots and Press Images while we were there!

We’ve continuously been shooting for Bournemouth Dress Hire Agency, Love it Lend it. Every time they get new stock in to hire, they get us to photograph the dresses for their website and social media use.

Went off to the Southampton Ordnance Centre (at 5AM!) to Photograph a Networking Seminar for Vail Williams, their Solent through Leadership event. The event was designed to look into the future of Business with 3 key speakers;

Tim Walker from Taylor Made Computer Solutions took delegates on an exciting journey into the not too distant technological future. He talked about 3D printing for organs, wearable communications, social media and a host of other technological advances.

Mike Gawthorne from recruitment specialist Serocor Group talked about the changing face of what drives today’s recruits aside from the main salary with company vision, corporate values, work life blend and working environment becoming increasingly important.

Then Head of Eastleigh Borough Council Keith House painted a picture of the office building of the future using his own high tech, environmentally advanced, refurbished Council Offices as a great example.

Next was Britannia Leatherbarrows Removals & Storage at Bournemouth Airport, who needed an update on their advertising and marketing images. High Quality photography is now a vital selling tool for any business; from PR, advertisement and business showcases such as your website, you need to show you are an expert at what you do.

And last but not least! All the families, studio head shots and kids photo shoots we had!
