The Hayloft Gallery, Christchurch Exhibition

I’m lucky enough to be taking part in a wonderful little exhibition in Christchurch at the moment. The Hayloft Gallery on Wick Lane, Christchurch run by CADarts (Christchurch and District Arts Council) and is currently showing a small exhibition of local painters, writers, jewellery designers and a photographer – that would be me!

Running from today, Friday 24th October, right through to 31st October open 10am to 4pm (it’s even open on Sunday!) It’s well worth having a look around as there are so many different local artists and creatives, there’s bound to be something for everyone.

Head Shots – Your Most Vital Selling Tool

I’ve been so busy recently, with head shots! I’ve always said that head shots are so important to everyone, especially businesses, why not read my full ‘The importance of business head shots‘ article if you are interested in Commercial Portraiture.

However, head shots aren’t just vital to ‘business people’ though, whether you’re a musician, actor, dancer…. even a photo for a dating website! For all these instances you’ll need to be showing yourself in the best way possible, and to portray who you are and what you do – what better way than with a professional photograph that does the talking for you. We can photograph in our photographic studio, at your office, and a location of your choosing. Give us a call today on 01202 432234 to get your head shot session booked in.

Autumn and Winter 2014 Everyday Make-up Trends

Autumn/Winter Everyday Make-up Trends For 2014

DSC_9555-1DSC_9494I recently took on a beauty photo shoot to portray the Autumn and Winter Make-Up Trends for 2014 that the every day woman can wear. We focused on 2 main trends;

1: Bold Eye-makeup

This season is about messing around with bright, cold and daring colours on your eyes – evident by bright green eye shadow shown on the Dior cat walk. Pink shades of eye shadow are well shown this season, I particularly like the make-up for the Donna Karen cat walk on Charlotte Tilbury. The number 1 must have thing is wounded eye liner, but not in black – in bright neons! Try blues and yellows for something a bit different.  Surprisingly, bold shades and neons will suit most skin tones!

2: Stained Berry Matt Lipstick

DSC_9705_ppbbGlosses are not in sight this season. It’s all about the stained look of matt lipstick in autumn favourite colours such as reds and burgundies. Lips are strong and in this season yet give the shine a miss.

Splendid, matt shades and blasts of hot bubblegum pinks have been everywhere throughout the catwalks this season, and additionally extraordinary fuchsia, neon orange, coral red and blood red.

The shades were worn alone, matt lips were evident at the path at Missoni, Dries Van Norten, Moschino and Paul Smith.
