Christchurch Landscapes

My husband over at DH Websites was commissioned to build the new Christchurch Chamber of Trade & Commerce website. They needed some updated views of Christchurch so he very kindly asked me! …. would have been a little miffed if he hadn’t to be honest! 😉

I haven’t actually photographed landscapes in years! Being up at the high street studio for the past 5 years, my main focus was studio work but now that I can be a little more flexible with my time I can go out and about a bit more! I waited for a beautifully sunny day and headed out with my camera starting around 6.30am, traveling from Hengistbury Head through the centre of Christchurch to end up at Mudeford Quayside.

Here are just a few of my favourite landscapes from that morning’s shooting…

Mark McAdam Magazine Photo Shoot

DSC_05962Back in June, Studio Shotz photographed Mark McAdam a local Bournemouth chap who works for Sky Sports & Sky Sports News.

Mark came out as gay in the latest issue of GT (Gay Times) magazine, and Oh look! I took those photos!

DSC_05982Mark’s had a really incredible reception to coming out, even stating on his Twitter Page: “Already received so many unbelievable msgs, I just wanted to be true to myself.”

Mark’s news has spread over many news publications…along with my photos, including; Yahoo, Pink News, Fame Watcher, The Civil Rights Movement, Mad Fruit, The Gay courier and Gay.net

I’m so happy that I could be a part of this story, Mark is an amazing, lovely man! And by publicly coming out, he is paving the way for other gay men in the Football industry to do the same without the fear. I think it must be hard for anyone to come out of the closest, even nowadays when its so widely accepted. Just because others have done something before you, doesn’t make your own personal journey any less difficult.

mark3Mark has been a Sky News correspondent for 7 years now & said “I don’t know of any other gay sports reporters. There’s nothing to compare this to.”

mark5“And then, of course, there’s the photos that accompany his coming out interview. Like many a hot sports figure before him, what’s a coming out interview without a half naked photo to go along with it?” – Gay.net

Mark and I worked on a lot of different images together, and here are just a few of my favourite shots….

Dorset Chamber Networking

Recently I joined up to the Dorset Chamber of Trade & Commerce so I attended my first networking event. This was held at The Cliff in Canford Cliffs, a beautiful hidden gem of an eatery – I shall certainly be returning for dinner with the husband.

The event was an early start at 8am with an informal networking to begin, followed by a fantastic full English breakfast; which I now realised I was so eager to demolish I failed to take a photo, ooops! I met loads of lovely business people & can’t wait for the next event.

At Studio Shotz Photography, we also offer networking photography. Contact us or give us a call on 01202 432234.

BPA Air Festival Lunch

I’m always delighted to photograph for the Bournemouth Property Association, I’m now their photographer of choice for their networking events! On 29th August, they organised a fantastic Summer Lunch at the Menzies Carlton Hotel on the East Overcliff of Bournemouth during the incredible Bournemouth Air Show Event!

Networking Photography shouldn’t be boring, it should show the atmosphere of the event, as well as the people that attended. Here are just a few of my favourite images from the lunch.
